Example New Sport Template #5
Created: 2025-06-13 by Charity Helpers Foundation
Version: 1.0

---

**Core Elements:**
- Netball
- Tag
- Sprint Burst Zones

**Objective:**
Players combine high-energy tag chases with precision netball passing and scoring. Use sprint zones to activate your scoring ability and evade defenders!

---

**Teams & Players:**
- 2 teams of 6 players.
- Roles: 2 runners, 2 blockers, 2 net scorers.
- 3 periods, 6 minutes each.

---

**Field Layout:**
- Netball court with 3 marked “Burst Zones” (10-foot circles).
- End zones with raised nets for scoring (like basketball hoops with backboards).
- Midfield “Tag Corridor” for player entry and switches.

---

**Gameplay Cycle:**
1. A team starts in possession. The ball can be passed freely.
2. Players are only allowed to score after touching a foot in a “Burst Zone” and remaining untagged for 5 seconds.
3. Defenders try to tag players who enter Burst Zones to prevent activation.
4. Once a scorer is activated, they can enter a scoring zone and attempt to throw the ball into the raised net.
5. After a score or tag reset, the possession rotates to the other team.

---

**Scoring:**
- Successful throw after burst activation = 2 points
- Intercepted pass = 1 point to the intercepting team
- Tag during Burst Zone wait = reset/no score

---

**Twist / Chaos Element:**
- “Mirror Zone”: At any moment, a referee may call “Mirror!” and teams must switch offensive and defensive roles immediately.
- “Burst Drain”: One zone is deactivated for a full round — less space to activate scorers!

---

**Safety Notes:**
- Tags are light hand taps only.
- No pushing or shoving.
- Stalling in Burst Zones is not allowed — 10-second turnover rule.

---

**Setup Time:** 15 minutes
**Play Time:** ~25–30 minutes
